Every Picture

Every Picture is a supernatural thriller. Legendary tales of a deformed teacher at Penterghast Primary school have reached the ears of a class of curious children. They tell of her persecution from peers and pupils, a secret affair with the lonely headmaster at that time and her eventual horrific suicide outside the school’s entrance.

Twenty years later, to the day, an adulterous couple meet in one of the classrooms at Penterghast at the end of the school week. Kate has finally found the man she would sacrifice anything for. Matt has recently discovered some life changing news and wishes to end their relationship.

They soon find they’ve been locked into the school and it’s not long before Kate begins to realise they’re not alone. The couple’s own psychological state leaves them to face these bone-chilling events alone... events that will drive them back together or apart forever?

The tension rises as shocking secrets are revealed in this gripping supernatural thriller

Every Picture was shot in 2004 on DV. Early in the year the actors came on board and the story was co-written by the three lead actors and director – Tobias Tobbell, with some contributions from producer Keith Arnold. The aim was to create a series of scenes that would then be improvised on set.

In order to capture the best improvisations three cameras were used in order to cover each scene. The school shoot was shot first. The remainder of the scenes and the animation were created / shot throughout 2004. The edit was complete in 2005 and the film had it’s premiere, geared mostly towards friends and family, at the Curzon cinema in Soho.

Every Picture has now been taken on be sales agents ITN Distribution.
